Pavilion makes progress

It’s a sign of good times ahead! The installation of a massive Bank of Colorado Pavilion sign in the last few weeks signals the winding down of construction on the indoor arena and education center at Phillips County Fairgrounds. Inside work, including bathrooms and meeting rooms, are on track to wrap up this month, and the County is waiting to hear about a grant that could help with the kitchen appliances. Beyond that, sidewalks will soon be installed outside the building, and a brand wall will be constructed in honor of donors. Since its groundbreaking in March 2018, the new facility has hosted a wide variety of events, including last year’s Phillips County Fair. An October 2018 gift from Bank of Colorado secured naming rights for the pavilion.
