PCAC concert series kicks off Saturday

Phillips County Arts Council announces the 2019-20 concert series and will kick off the membership campaign Saturday, June 22, at Dandelion Daze in Holyoke.
At the PCAC booth, interested persons will be able to purchase their membership or pick up a flier. The arts council emphasizes that this is a great season lineup, and they look forward to welcoming returning members, as well as new members.
The season will open Thursday, Oct. 10, with Take Me Home: The Music of John Denver. This performance has been described as “a heavenly evening of beautiful music, a shining tribute to John Denver.”
Jim Curry is not an impersonator. He sings in his own natural voice, a tribute to the music of John Denver in a way that has to be seen and heard to understand the pure honesty of his amazing performance. His looks and voice are a pleasant coincidence that captures the true essence of Denver’s music. Singing John’s many favorites, Curry shares his positive message of love, humanity and environmental awareness.
Tony DeSare: I Love a Piano returns to Phillips County on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. DeSare thrilled the local audience a few years ago with his energetic and entertaining performance. Notwithstanding his critically acclaimed turns as a singer/pianist, DeSare is also an accomplished award-winning composer.
