The town of Paoli is pictured in June 1921. The building in the foreground is the Roy Dinsmore General Merchandise and Cream Station, which is said to have been the first store in Paoli. Fire completely destroyed the building and its contents the evening of March 3, 1922. Roy Dinsmore had operated a store there for some time but had closed out his stock. S. Gold and his partner had recently rented the building and put in a large stock of merchandise, with several truckloads having been put in the afternoon before the fire. — Source: Phillips County Museum
