Peerless movie spurs foster, adoption convos this weekend

The Dec. 7-10 showing of “Instant Family” at the Peerless Theatre will provide plenty of laughs as audiences watch one couple fumble through the awkwardness of going from zero to three kids overnight. But the scenario of foster care and adoption is very much real life for many in Colorado and even Holyoke.
That’s why the Peerless Theatre is partnering with the Phillips County Department of Human Services to promote and offer information to the community on the importance and need for foster homes and parents in the area.
An informational display will be set up in the Peerless each night the movie is showing.
Additionally, Lori Lundgren, child welfare supervisor and foster/adopt coordinator for Phillips County DHS, will be at the Peerless Sunday, Dec. 9, from 3:30-7 p.m. to answer questions and share information.
