Phillips County ambulances retrofitted

Six Phillips County ambulances have been retrofitted in order to assist with combating COVID-19.

Holyoke EMS Director and Emergency Preparedness and Safety Coordinator Brady Ring said the ambulances, three from Holyoke EMS and three from Haxtun EMS, received upgrades as part of coronavirus relief funds through DOLA.

Each agency received two sets of ultraviolet lights that can be mounted in the back of the ambulance after sanitizing it to kill any microbes that may be present.
