Phillips County children can register for free books

Highline Electric, PCFES team up for Imagination Library

There is no greater gift for a child than the gift of learning from their own books. That’s why Highline Electric Association, a Touchstone Energy Cooperative, is proud to partner with Phillips County Family Education Services Inc. to bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to Phillips County.

Through matching funds from CoBank and Basin Electric Cooperative, Highline was able to secure $2,400 to cover the first-year costs of the program. This amount is an estimation based on the number of children projected to enroll.

The Imagination Library, a book-gifting program administered by The Dollywood Foundation, mails one book each month to children from birth to age 5 at no cost to the families who register.

Families who reside in Phillips County can register online at www.imagination library.com or contact Linda Jelden at PCFES at 970-854-2595 for a registration form.
