Phillips County Dems split in gubernatorial preferences at caucus
The Phillips County Democratic Party gathered Tuesday, March 6, at the Paoli Town Hall, where the caucus and county assembly tasks were combined into a single meeting.
Haxtun’s Kim Keleher, who is expected to become the county chair, led the caucus. Thirteen registered Democrats participated, with one person there just to observe.
Four delegates were selected to attend the Colorado Democratic Party State Assembly in Broomfield on Saturday, April 14. Statewide, preliminary results of the Democratic caucuses indicated 50 percent favor Cary Kennedy for governor, followed by Jared Polis 32.5, Mike Johnston 8.8, Noel Ginsburg 1.7 and Erik Underwood 0.4, with 6.5 percent uncommitted.
