Phillips County Museum creates a new exhibit dedicated to Heginbotham

A new exhibit showcasing more of William Heginbotham’s belongings has opened at the Phillips County Museum located at 109 S. Campbell Ave. in Holyoke.

Curated by Rachel Schneider, assistant curator, the exhibit shows different types of inkwells, a bonnet, a fountain pen, a camera, a photo and more.

The camera that was in Heginbotham’s possession is a model Blair Folding Hawk Eye camera. The model was made between 1905-1907 after it was acquired by Eastman-Kodak.

The photos produced were post-card sized, and a photo taken from the Blair Folding Hawk is also in this exhibit.

The photo itself is of Heginbotham’s family with him standing on the right side of the photo.
