Plan for a ‘killer’ time at CineMagic fundraiser Dec. 11
An interactive murder mystery will highlight the 10th annual CineMagic fundraising event, which is being organized by the Golden Plains Recreation Center Board of Directors and Peerless Theatre facility management team.
On Saturday, Dec. 11, attendees will be treated to a meal, open bar, silent/live auction, gambling tables and a dance at Phillips County Event Center. Entertainment will include “Murder Mystery at the Theater,” an interactive show performed by the Phillips County Players. Since it’s set in 1922, guests are encouraged to dress in 1920s attire reminiscent of “The Great Gatsby.”
While the cinema and concessions prove to be fiscally stable, the facility as a whole requires additional support. This annual fundraising event is the single largest activity to augment the revenues of the GPRC. One item in particular on the facility’s wish list is an upgrade to the speakers in the theater.
Those who would like to attend should purchase individual tickets or tables of eight by Friday, Nov. 12. Organizers are also accepting auction item donations and monetary donations at this time. For more information, contact any GPRC board member/staff or call Tricia Michael at 970-580-4824.
