Pregnancy center dedicates Giving Room in memory of Evelyn Lock

A Caring Pregnancy Resource Center of Northeast Colorado’s Holyoke team dedicated a new Giving Room in memory of Evelyn Lock on Dec. 5. It is located next to the local office and advocacy rooms at 246 S. Interocean Ave.

Lock’s family accepted a plaque in her honor from Marie Tamasy, the Holyoke site director, and attendees enjoyed a cake donated by 11-year-old Heidi Thompson.

The Giving Room will be accepting donations of infant clothes and items up to size 2T to share with moms in Phillips, Sedgwick and Yuma counties.

“We appreciate so much all our Holyoke volunteers who pitched in to paint, spruce up the offices and attend the presentation of a plaque in Evelyn Lock’s honor,” said Faye Barnhart, executive director.
