Recipe Train

Shannon Schlachter is offering readers a taste of LaRue Schlachter’s chocolate brownie pudding cake. It is the first recipe Shannon got from LaRue when Shannon married her grandson, Luke, 15 years ago. The recipe card still has LaRue’s handwriting on it — a special memory of the woman who died in 2013. The cake has been a family favorite for years and is especially loved by Shannon’s father-in-law Steve.
