Relay For Life to hold walk-thru luminaria experience

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Northeast Colorado will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, from 7-9 p.m. at Columbine Park in Sterling.

Teams, participants and caregivers are encouraged to go online to www.relay.org/neco or email relayneco@gmail.com to sign up for a specific time slot in which they will be able to walk through the luminaria bag display Saturday.

At traditional Relay events, the walking path is lined with luminaria bags. Luminarias honor every life touched by cancer. They can be dedicated to a loved one lost, someone currently battling cancer or anyone who’s overcome it. The luminaria ceremony is one of the most important and emotional parts of a Relay event, so it’s important that the tradition is continued in 2020.
