Ring-a-ling, hear them ring

Soon it will be Christmas Day, and the Salvation Army bell-ringing volunteers are hard at work on the red kettle campaign in the two weeks before Christmas. From left, Milan Saucedo Quintana gladly drops in a donation with help from Katie Andersen and Sherri Drescher on a chilly evening Monday, Dec. 9. The red kettle will be set up at the entrance to Holyoke Marketplace through Monday, Dec. 23, and there are still plenty of slots for bell ringers. To sign up, visit https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0c45aaae2ca7f58-2019. All of the donations will stay with the Phillips County Salvation Army unit, and there’s even a QR code to scan for those who prefer to make a donation using their smartphone.
