Rowan signs extradition waiver

    On Wednesday, Sept. 19, shortly after 1 p.m., Kevin Rowan was contacted in Barstow, California, for a traffic violation. He was subsequently taken into custody in Barstow for an outstanding warrant out of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
    At this time, LCSO is working with the Barstow Police Department and providing them with information which will assist with the investigation. According to Dennis Aulston, operations lieutenant for LCSO, Rowan has signed his waiver of extradition, but at the time of publication, he was still in California waiting to be transported back to Colorado.
    Rowan was involved in an altercation with his father near Fleming on the evening of Sept. 13. After an investigation into the incident, an arrest warrant was obtained for felony charges of attempted second-degree murder, vehicular assault, felony menacing and first-degree assault on an at-risk adult.
