Royalty stay busy

Josie Schlachter of Holyoke presents the Colorado flag at the Saturday, July 28, Bulls Gone Wild! event at the Phillips County Fair. She and Gracie Gibson of Haxtun, the two reigning princesses, represented the county at everything from the parade to the barbecue. On hand to help were queen contestant Janessa Lutze of Holyoke and princess contestant Megan Walker of Haxtun. After the big announcement at Bulls Gone Wild!, Lutze and Walker are officially on their way to becoming 2019 fair royalty and will be crowned at the Haxtun Corn Festival Sept. 29.
