Smoke, speed, strength lure fans to rainy-day tractor and truck pull

As luck would have it, the Heartland Pulling Series tractor and truck pull almost got rained out a second time. The event was originally scheduled for July 27 during the Phillips County Fair and had to be called off due to bad weather. The second time around, it was once again rainy Saturday, Aug. 18. Organizers kept things on track, and despite starting a little later than planned, it ended up being a nice, yet chilly evening. A small group of dedicated fans were treated to an exciting competition at the Phillips County Fairgrounds. Pictured above is Dave Hoff’s “Just in Case” in the nonsanctioned hot farm division.
