Students of the Month

Students of the month for March at Holyoke JR/SR High School have been named. They are junior Karlie Martin, nominated by a fellow student, and seventh grader Sadee Mosenteen, nominated by a fellow student. 

The nomination letter for Martin said, “Karlie consistently shows dedication to her schoolwork and especially to her class, always going above and beyond to make the class of 2024 better each day and to honor the memory of the classmates she has lost.”

Mosenteen’s nomination letter said, “I think Sadee Mosenteen deserved the title ‘Student of the Month.’ She works so hard, has a 4.0 GPA, and is always lifting everybody up. The first reason she deserves Student of the Month is because she works very hard. Sadee has never missed or turned in a late assignment. On top of homework and school, she contributes to the sports teams. She participates in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. Another reason Sadee deserves this honor is that she has a 4.0 GPA. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her time in school. This amazing feat is not for many. The third and last reason Sadee comes to mind for S.O.T.M. is that she always lifts her peers up. When they think negative or put themselves down, she tells them she believes in them, and not to give up. When they accomplish a goal or succeed on an assignment or in an extracurricular, she cheers them on and puts others above herself. These are some of the reasons Sadee deserved student of the month more than any other.”
