Thompson headed to District Court in high-speed chase case

Tevin Thompson, the Centralia, Missouri man arrested after a high-speed chase through Chase County, Nebraska, has been bound over to District Court.

Thompson, 30, appeared in Chase County Court Wednesday, March 22, before Judge Edward Steenburg on four charges related to the incident March 3-4.

Thompson, represented by court-appointed attorney Leslie Nordhausen, waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Steenburg informed Thompson his next hearing would be before Judge Patrick Heng in Chase County District Court.

Thompson faces four charges, two of them felonies for terroristic threats and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

He is also charged with two misdemeanors: operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and willful reckless driving.

After Thompson was chased by authorities starting in Phillips County on March 3, he entered Chase County, eventually crashing his vehicle and leaving his vehicle on foot.
