Tree removal is first on list of ongoing library improvements

The view from the corner of Baxter Avenue and Jules Street has already undergone more changes since this photo was taken, and the changes will keep coming. The end result will be both of the pictured trees removed entirely from the Heginbotham Library property. Once Thompson Tree Service has finished removing the trees, the City of Holyoke intends to bring in Wirges Construction to pour new sidewalks. The library board is also working toward improvements in the water garden, exterior paint, the emergency alert system and electrical work. — Johnson Publications
