Turn on your Christmas lights next Tuesday

The 28th annual holiday lighting/decorating contest, sponsored by The City of Holyoke and The Holyoke Enterprise, is set for Tuesday, Dec. 10. To be included for judging, simply have your lights on and/or decorations up at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Any display within Holyoke city limits or within a half-mile radius is eligible except for the 2018 winners, which are ineligible in 2019. Judging will be based on originality, decorative effect and overall effect.

Cash prizes — and bragging rights — are on the line, including $100 for first place, $50 for second and $25 for third.
