Van Overbeke wins Lions Club speech contest

Holyoke Lions Club’s local speech contest winners are pictured from left, Tristen Roll, third; Shianne Willmon, second; and Haley Van Overbeke, first. The high schoolers gave their speeches in Holyoke at the end of March, and Van Overbeke competed at districts in Brush Saturday, April 13, where she placed sixth. This year’s theme was “How does helping others help you? Why does giving back matter?”
