Yessenia Janet Cruz arrested

On Sunday, Feb. 13, a Holyoke police officer discovered a vehicle parked in a dark section of a dirt road at approximately 8:58 p.m. In the vehicle, the officer discovered a juvenile male party with an adult female, who was found to be Yessenia Janet Cruz of Holyoke, a substitute paraprofessional at Holyoke High School.

At the time of the contact, the male party gave the officer a false age, and the parties were released. It was later discovered that evening that the male was in fact a juvenile student at Holyoke High School.

The Holyoke Police Department initiated a criminal investigation into the incident and the relationship between Cruz and the male party.
