Dille represents at inaugural girls golf 3A state tournament

Holyoke High School junior Grace Dille qualified for and competed at the 3A Colorado state golf tournament May 22-23 at Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield. Golfers played 18 holes each of the two days of competition.

Competing at the state level for the first time, Dille was the only Holyoke qualifier this season.

In the first day of competition, Dille had to adjust to a high-pressure tournament and an unfamiliar course. She didn’t play like she usually does, but by day two, she began to settle in. She made a grip adjustment, and it paid off with a much better day of golf.

Coach Nick Flaa said Dille’s response to a tough first day and how she bounced back on day two really showed her character and coachability.
