Backwards softball marathon is June 17

    It can feel pretty unnatural to run to third base first after making a hit in softball, but participants in the annual Co-ed Backwards Softball Tournament are prepared to do it game after game beginning Saturday, June 17, at 4 p.m. at the Holyoke City Ballpark.
    Now in its second year, the marathon tournament benefits the Thrashers softball club. It will run all night and into the early morning Sunday, June 18, until the championship game.
    All participants must be out of high school in order to participate, and IDs are required at the event. Beer is included in the registration fees. Food will be available at an additional cost.
