Kroeger, Kage receive All-State recognition
Colorado 2A baseball players receiving All-State honors were recently announced, and two Holyoke High School athletes made the cut. Both recent graduates, Gunnar Kroeger made the second team, and Brendan Kage received honorable mention.
The All-State first team is made up of Jonathon Cowles of Dayspring Christian Academy; Rodney Gregg of Peyton; Dawson Kelly of Lyons; Jacob Rodriguez of Rocky Ford; Steven Weber and Christian Dellamaestra of County Line; and Jaden Miller, Kayden Seriani and Trevor Smith of Paonia.
In addition to Kroeger, those on the second team are Sedgwick County’s Chandon Dunker and Korbin Reed, Jett County of Burlington, Seth Clemente of Dawson School, Jonathan Gonzalez of Hotchkiss, Andre Montano of Rocky Ford, Ricardo Ramirez of Highland and Brevin Welch of Front Range Christian.
Joining Kage in receiving honorable mention are 32 other Colorado players. Those from area schools include Caleb Andersen and Bo Soukup of Haxtun; Levi Basler of Akron; Cael Croissant of Wiggins; Hauk Hubbard and Cannan Bennett of Limon; Gianni Trejo of Yuma; and Bubba Sullivan and Braden Witzel of Burlington.
