Kroeger commits to NJC baseball
Capping off a great year of Dragon baseball, recent Holyoke High School graduate Gunnar Kroeger committed to playing baseball at Northeastern Junior College.
On hand to congratulate him in Sterling were NJC head coach Bryan Shepherd, assistant coach Trevor Varley and parents Bryan and Tammy Kroeger.
The Dragon pitcher and catcher lettered all four years of his HHS career. He was the No. 1 All-Conference pick this year, in addition to making the list in 2016 and 2015. Kroeger was recently named to the All-State second team and was All-State honorable mention in 2015. This year, he was the recipient of the Dragon Award for participating in three sports during all four years of high school.
Kroeger has also been recognized for his outstanding baseball abilities as a Bomber on the regional summer team.
While at NJC, Kroeger plans to major in ag business and ranch management.
