Thrashers open county fair with 5K

   The Thrashers softball team hosted an evening that was mutually beneficial to fairgoers and the softball players. While the event served as a fundraiser for the team, it also opened the first night of the fair with some fun new activities.
    Starting off the July 26 activities was a color run. Participants donned their white race T-shirts and prepared to get colorful. At the starting line of the 5K, when runners/walkers were given the signal to go, everyone threw their packs of colored powders in the air. Stationed along the route, members of the Thrashers softball team threw more color into the mix.
