PCR season to end in weekend doubleheader

Sprint car championship Saturday

Phillips County Raceway fans have one last opportunity to make it out to the track this season. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 29-30, each have full nights of racing scheduled for the end-of-season doubleheader.
Friday night, action starts at 7:30 p.m. High Plains late models will be the featured division, with sprint cars and dwarfs as well. The usual stock cars, hobby stocks, modifieds, sport mods and compacts will be competing, too.
Saturday night will be kids’ night, and the races begin at 6 p.m. All the same divisions as Friday night will be returning to the track, and the night will include the Colorado Alliance Tour sprint car championship race.
Kids are encouraged to take their bikes to compete in a bike race Saturday night. There will also be a tire roll competition for the kids.
