Take a stab at ‘Cheating Death’ Sunday afternoon at the Peerless
Hang-ups range from paranoia to delusions of grandeur at this particular group session in a mental hospital, but none of the patients’ quirks can measure up to one unexpected guest: Death.
Phillips County Players present “Cheating Death” by Kamron Klitgaard. The one-act melodrama will take the stage at the Peerless Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m.
Bob, played by Luke Krogmeier, wants desperately for people to hear his brilliant ideas. Deb, played by Dolly Smith, spends her time wishing and dreaming for something better. Ann, played by Karen Swan, takes charge as the group’s know-it-all. Sam, played by Janel Wailes, keeps the questions coming nonstop.
Sue, played by Jes-c French, constantly compares herself to others. Ron, played by Maury Kramer, is always sure to keep his guard up, certain that someone, somewhere is out to get him.
Between the six patients and Death, played by Christopher Colglazier, and the doctor, played by Bob Brandt, this hilarious group session is one that won’t soon be forgotten.
