Masks can’t hide smiles at Peerless CineMagic
It was A Halloween Masquerade at this year’s CineMagic event, and there were plenty of masks and Halloween costumes to be seen Saturday, Oct. 28.
With 10 table sponsors and a number of individual tickets purchased, the sixth annual fundraiser for the Golden Plains Recreation Center/Peerless Center was a great success.
The lineup for the evening, which returned to the Peerless Center this year, included fine dining, live and silent auctions, and a performance of “Cheating Death” by the Phillips County Players. Rounding out the night was a special showing of “It” for CineMagic attendees.
A number of donations for the auctions, as well as the generous bidders, contributed to the GPRC mission to provide healthy alternatives in recreation to the community of Holyoke.
For more information on the outcome of 2017 CineMagic, attend the GPRC/Peerless Center annual meeting Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. in the Peerless Theatre.
