Free mental health first aid courses in Sterling

Mental health challenges — such as depression, anxiety, psychosis and substance use — are shockingly common in the United States. In fact, more than one in five American adults will have a mental health problem in any given year. Centennial Mental Health Center provides mental health first aid courses to prepare communities with the knowledge and skills to help individuals who are developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
Centennial Mental Health Center will be hosting two free mental health first aid courses. The first one will be a youth mental health first aid course for adults who work with youth. It will be held at the Family Resource Center located at 120 Main St. in Sterling on Monday, Nov. 20, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
