Sign up for Parade of Lights, tree decorating for ‘March of the Toys’ Country Christmas
The 2017 Country Christmas event, coordinated by Holyoke Chamber of Commerce, is quickly approaching. A parade, soup supper, pictures with Santa, kids’ movie, hay rides and downtown specials are planned for Monday, Dec. 4. A full schedule will be announced in next week’s Enterprise.
The theme for the Parade of Lights is “March of the Toys.” Sponsoring businesses PC Telcom and Highline Electric Association encourage community members to enter floats for a chance to win Chamber Bucks. Forms may be picked up from either sponsor and should be returned to Michael Cline at PC Telcom by Friday, Dec. 1.
The night of Country Christmas, Dec. 4, parade lineup will start at 5:30 p.m. with judging at 6 p.m. The parade will head down Interocean Avenue at 6:30 p.m.
New to Country Christmas this year is a downtown tree decorating contest. Judging will take place Dec. 4, and prizes will be awarded to the top two trees. To enter a tree for judging, provide a name and address to the chamber at 970-854-3517 or director@holy okechamber.org. Deadline to enter is Friday, Dec. 1.
