Christmas church services are set

    Christmas weekend is upon us, and many Holyoke and surrounding area churches will be hosting special services on Christmas Eve, Sunday, Dec. 24, and Christmas Day, Monday, Dec. 25.
    Fairfield Covenant Church, located north of Paoli, will hold its regularly scheduled service Sunday, Dec. 24, at 10 a.m.
    First Baptist Church and Vida Abundante will hold a  service on Christmas Eve at 10 a.m. Neither church will hold services on Christmas Day.
    First Christian Church will have its regular 10 a.m. service on Christmas Eve and a candlelight service at 5 p.m.
    First United Methodist Church will hold a 10 a.m. service Christmas Eve morning and is scheduled to host another candlelight service at 6 p.m.
    Holyoke Assembly of God will have its regularly scheduled 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning service and will hold a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m.
    Holyoke Church of Christ will meet at its regular time Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with Bible class at 10:30 a.m.
    Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church will hold its regular Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. and is planning a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 5 p.m.
    St. Patrick Catholic Church will begin Christmas Eve with a children’s Mass at 5 p.m in Holyoke and will hold Mass at Christ the King in Haxtun at 10 p.m. An 8 a.m. Mass is set for Christmas Day in Holyoke, and there will be a 10:30 a.m. Christmas Day Mass at St. Peter’s south of Fleming.
     St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Amherst will host a children’s program Christmas Eve at 4:30 p.m. The Christmas Day service is planned for 9 a.m.
    St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Venango, Nebraska, has a Christmas Eve service planned for 6:30 p.m.
    Venango Community Church in Nebraska will follow its normal Sunday morning schedule with worship at 10:35 a.m., and a 6 p.m. Christmas Eve candlelight service is planned.
    Zion Lutheran Church will host a candlelight service Christmas Eve at 5 p.m., and a Christmas Day service is set for 9 a.m.
    Ministerio Hispano will have its Sunday service at the regularly scheduled 11:30 a.m. time.
