Enterprise closed Dec. 29-Jan. 1
    The Holyoke Enterprise office will be closed Friday, Dec. 29-Monday, Jan. 1, for the New Year’s holiday. The deadline remains Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 10 a.m., but any news or advertising information received prior to the weekend will be appreciated. Happy New Year!
    
Students return to class next Wednesday
    After a long holiday break, teachers in Holyoke Re-1J School District will return for an inservice day Tuesday, Jan. 2. Students will resume class Wednesday, Jan. 3.

Register for ESL, early childhood classes
    Registration for English as a second language classes and early childhood classes is set for Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Phillips County Family Education Services. Stop by the classrooms at Phillips County Event Center anytime between 1:30-7:30 p.m. to sign up. The PCFES after-school program also begins next Wednesday. For questions, call 970-854-2595.
    
Jan. 19 Green Out includes cheer clinic
    Kids age 3 through sixth grade are invited to sign up for the winter cheer clinic hosted by Holyoke cheerleaders. The performance is set for Friday, Jan. 19, during the Holyoke vs. Yuma Green Out basketball games at Holyoke High School. Practices will be from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, Jan. 16-18, with practice location yet to be determined.
    All forms need to be turned in by Friday, Jan. 5, to guarantee a shirt and/or bow to be worn at the performance. The shirt is the same as the one used for the October cheer clinic. Forms can be turned in at the JR/SR high, elementary school or Holyoke Community Federal Credit Union.
