No-Till Conference set for Feb. 6-7 in Burlington

    The 30th annual High Plains No-Till Conference will held Tuesday-Wednesday, Feb. 6-7, at the Burlington Community Center in Burlington. The event is hosted by the Colorado Conservation Tillage Association and provides access to more than 50 educational sessions focused on agriculture technology, farm business, soil health and general no-till practices.
    This year’s conference will feature keynote speakers Dr. Christine Jones and Nathan Haile. Jones is a groundcover and soil ecologist with international recognition as a speaker throughout Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Western Europe, Central America, the United States and Canada.
    Haile, a soil health specialist with the United States Department of Agriculture/Natural Resources Conservation Service Texas, will also be presenting based on his experience evaluating soils across unique regions of the United States.
    In addition, a variety of subjects will be discussed as breakout sessions. Topics include managing herbicide resistant weeds, grazing diverse forages, Colorado’s industrial hemp program, taking products to retail, Colorado State University’s cover crop study and basic no-till practices.
