Chamber announces award winners
The winners of this year’s community excellence awards have been chosen and include Cobblestone Inn & Suites, business of the year; Earl Downing of Computers Etc., employee of the year; Casey Blake, citizen of the year; and the FBLA team of Emily Jelden, Josie Herman and Shianne Willmon, youth of the year. Winners will be celebrated at the 25th annual Chamber of Commerce Gala Monday, Feb. 5, at Phillips County Event Center. A social begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. RSVPs are requested by Wednesday, Jan. 24. Call 970-854-3517.
Send in ideas for 2018 fair theme
What should be the theme of the 2018 Phillips County Fair? Submit ideas by mailing them to P.O. Box 484, Holyoke, CO 80734 or by posting them on the Phillips County Fair Facebook page. The person with the winning submission will get two free tickets to one of the fair events. Deadline is Saturday, Feb. 10.
