JH girls 2nd in A team league tourney

    The HJHS girls basketball team went in as the No. 4 seed and finished as runner-up in the A team tourney in Ovid Saturday, Feb. 10.
    The Lady Dragons defeated Haxtun 30-27 to advance to the championship, where they lost to Sedgwick County 29-36.
    In the Haxtun win, Kristin Vieselmeyer dominated the Dragon scoring with 18 points, while Elise Krogmeier scored four, Emma Thompson three, Grace Roberts and Lauren Herman two apiece, and Sabryn Burris one.
