JV, C boys win in Yuma

    In last week’s JV and C team basketball, Holyoke faced Yuma away and Wray at home. On Feb. 13, JV beat Yuma 46-40, and Holyoke’s C team won 27-12. On Feb. 16, Holyoke’s JV fell 41-34 to Wray.
    
Holyoke JV 46, Yuma JV 40
    In last Tuesday’s JV game, Yuma got an early lead, but it was small. After one quarter of play, Holyoke trailed 13-8. In the second quarter, HHS chipped away at the Yuma lead, and by halftime, the Dragons were down by just two points.
    In the third period, Yuma outscored Holyoke again, and led 33-28 going into the fourth. HHS wasn’t ready to give up, though, and the Dragons posted 18 points in the final quarter for a 46-40 win.
