Eckerberg, Powell engaged

     Merle and Monica Powell of Holyoke and Philip and Margaret Eckerberg of Gering, Nebraska, announce the engagement of their children, Wyatt Powell of Hastings, Nebraska, and Brittany Eckerberg of York, Nebraska.
    The couple plans a June 16, 2018, wedding at Central Church of Christ in Gering.
    The bride-to-be is a 2014 graduate of Gering High School and will graduate in May with an accounting degree from York College in York. She is employed at UTC AeroSpace Systems.
    Powell is a 2015 graduate of Holyoke High School and is a student at Hastings College in Hastings. He is working toward a degree in recreational management, with a tentative graduation date of May 2019. He is employed at Hibbett Sports.
    Eckerberg’s grandparents include Jim and Mary Jane Eckerberg and Viola Bulman, all of Gering, and the late Thornton Bulman.
    Powell’s grandparents are Jim and Sharon Blake of Holyoke, Rosanne Powell of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and the late C. Duane Powell.
