The Holyoke Enterprise office will be closed all day Friday, April 13. Staff members will be attending the annual convention of the Colorado Press Association.
Class to give training on how to stop blood loss
Stop the Bleed is a free training open to the community Monday, April 16, at 6 p.m. at Family Practice of Holyoke’s waiting room.
This national campaign aims to empower individuals to act quickly and save lives. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes. The training will talk about severe bleeding kits that have the basic tools to help anyone keep an injured person alive until medical care is available.
Magazine looking for northeast Colorado photos for cover contest
Explore, a tourism magazine for northeast Colorado, is holding its annual cover photo contest. Suggested photos include activity photos with people, places or scenery in northeast Colorado.
Deadline to submit photos to bporter@fort morgantimes.com is Wednesday, April 18.
Photos must be in digital jpeg format and must be able to reproduce as an 8-inch-by-10-inch photo. Submissions should include the location of the photo and name/address of the photographer.
Explore magazine, which will be distributed the third week of May, is a project of the newspapers in Akron, Brush, Fort Morgan, Holyoke, Julesburg and Sterling.
Students get day off Monday
Students in Holyoke School District will not have class Monday, April 16, due to a teacher inservice.
