Storm reduces roadshow to 1 day
Weekend weather impacted the Girlfriends Wandering Market Near & Far shabbilicious roadshow that was originally set for Saturday and Sunday at the Phillips County Event Center.
While the first day was canceled, the show did go on Sunday, April 15.
Owner Bobbi Mansfield said the turnout was small on both the shoppers and vendors sides of the unique shopping and entertainment experience. But many who did attend encouraged them to return.
“I’m grateful during this stressful weekend for being in a community that has a genuine heart,” said Mansfield. She noted sincere appreciation to the community, adding, “The Girlfriends Wandering Market Near & Far will be back.”
So many vendors were stranded for so long that they gave up and went back home. However, the vendors that did participate in Sunday’s show had a good time and were happy with their sales from the community that did attend, reported Mansfield.
