Golfers earn awards

    Holyoke High School girls golf team celebrated a good season at an awards lunch Thursday, May 24, with coaches Nick Flaa and Marcia Dalton.
    Letterwinners for 2018 were seniors Grace Dille, Dominique Penzing, Regan Van Overbeke and Anna Jelden; and junior Brenna Sullivan.
    Earning participation awards were juniors Sloane Bishop, Kaylee Camblin and Savannah Burris; sophomores Ciera Schelling, Traeli Hutches, Jackie Valenzuela and Tayler Hale; and freshmen Haley Van Overbeke and Amy Mackay.
    As a team, the golfers earned the Colorado High School Activities Association Academic Team Award with a team GPA of 3.79.
    Juniors and seniors who played varsity were also eligible for individual academic awards. Those who were named to the Academic 1st Team were Dille, Penzing, Regan Van Overbeke, Jelden and Sullivan.
