Record car count Saturday at Phillips County Raceway
More than 100 cars made for a record car count at Phillips County Raceway’s Motor Madness Saturday, May 26, in Holyoke.
Late models, sprints and dwarfs, in addition to the local IMCA divisions of modifieds, stock cars, sport mods, hobby stocks and compacts made for an evening of great racing.
Seventeen High Plains late models opened the season Saturday night, and another 18 dwarfs and 18 lightning sprints lined up for racing.
Crowd numbers were up, and while it was a bit windy, at least the weather cooperated for the racing schedule, noted promoter Joe Bellm.
