Stevenson, French selected for Aug. 15 Christian show

    The Newsboys. Mercy Me. Amy Grant. Josh Groban. TobyMac. Those are just some of the top performing Christian artists and groups this year’s Chase County Fair Christian Show performers have been associated with.
    This year’s show in Imperial, Nebraska, will feature Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Ryan Stevenson. Another rising songwriter and singer Austin French will open for Stevenson on Wednesday, Aug. 15.

    Stevenson released his latest album, “No Matter What,” in April 2018.
    The highly anticipated project comes on the heels of a slew of awards few artists achieve in their entire career, much less before their first release.
    With two No. 1 singles —one as an artist and one as a co-writer— he has already distinguished himself as a rare talent whose unique perspective guides his honest lyrics and sonic sensibilities.
    Here’s just a sampling of the success Stevenson has already enjoyed:
    — Top 3 Billboard Christian Airplay song and 2017 Top 20 Billboard Christian Song of the Year with “The Gospel.”
    — No. 1 on Billboard Christian charts for 16 weeks, 14 consecutive weeks at Billboard AC, in 2016 with “Eye of the Storm.”
