Even though this edition of The Holyoke Enterprise is jam-packed with results and photos from last week’s Phillips County Fair, there’s still more to come!! A special keepsake edition will be published Aug. 16 with detailed results and photos from 4-H, FFA and open class competitions.
CPW to host hunter education class
A hunter education class presented by Colorado Parks & Wildlife is set for Saturday, Aug. 25, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 26, from noon-4 p.m. at Highline Electric Association’s meeting room.
Hunter education cards will be awarded to students upon successful completion of the course, which includes attending all class sessions and passing a written test and live fire. Rifles and ammunition will be provided for the live fire, which will be done Sunday at the gun range south of the county landfill.

Watch outdoor movie Friday at Carriage House
“Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” will be shown under the stars at an outdoor movie event hosted by CSU Extension Friday, Aug. 3. Take lawn chairs and blankets to the Carriage House parking lot by 8 p.m.
