Kroeger christens new pavilion
Bryan Kroeger and about 30 others gathered in the new pavilion at the Phillips County Fairgrounds Sunday morning, July 29, to christen the facility and praise the work of 4-H and FFA.
The gathered under the banner of For Him — a ministry group whose name plays off that of 4-H. The group prayed and sang hymns, in addition to hearing Kroeger’s sermon.
After being introduced by former Haxtun FFA teacher Doug Larson, Kroeger said that 4-H and FFA had a powerful influence on him growing up, and he identified 4-H teachers John Sullivan and Leland Miller, and his FFA teacher, Mr. Whitmore, as specific role models for him as a young man.
