Better Beef Makers was declared overall champion for the fourth year in a row and took home first place in the youth maxi category. Tribute to fallen cowboy leads fair parade

    An array of colorful floats was paraded down Interocean Avenue on Saturday, July 28, to celebrate the Phillips County Fair and its Small Town Showdown theme.
    The parade was led by a riderless horse, symbolizing the late Merle Jackson, who was grand marshal of this year’s Phillips County Fair parade.
    For the fourth consecutive year, Better Beef Makers was crowned overall champion and first in the youth maxi category, followed by Holyoke FFA and Raising Ranchers.
