Highway 23 work begins

    Weather permitting, a milling with pavement repair project will begin Monday, Aug. 27, on Highway 23 from Venango, Nebraska, to Grant, Nebraska, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
    State maintenance forces will be performing the 16-mile project moving east from Venango to Grant. The work is anticipated to be completed early next month.
    One‑lane traffic will occur with the use of a pilot car and flaggers. Motorists should expect to see delays and are reminded to drive cautiously through highway work zones.
