JWILL Pink Village delivers pillows to Melissa Memorial Hospital
For the past year, Jennifer Willard of JWILL Pink Village has been making heart-shaped pillows for patients who have undergone breast cancer surgeries. On Aug. 28, the organization made a delivery to its 10th hospital, Melissa Memorial.
Willard was inspired to start the project after she was given a handmade pillow after her own double mastectomy in February 2016. The pillow had a velcro strip so it could be used with a seat belt. The pillow made car rides less uncomfortable after surgery, but it also served as an encouraging gesture during a difficult time.
