Mark calendar for blood draws Monday-Friday, Oct. 8-12
    Annual blood draws are set for Monday-Friday, Oct. 8-12, from 6:30-9:30 a.m. at Melissa Memorial Hospital. Community members should call 970-854-2241 and ask for the lab.
    No insurance is necessary at the blood draws, and highly discounted rates are offered. Options for blood draw participants include tests for complete blood count used to evaluate overall health, prostate specific antigen to measure the level of PSA in a man’s blood, thyroid stimulating hormone to check the thyroid gland, vitamin D and A1C for blood sugar over the last three months.
    Participants can review their results with a provider for free at the MMH health fair Saturday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m.-noon at the hospital.
    
Women’s volleyball league looking for teams

MMHF to host Cajun Boil Saturday
    Melissa Memorial Hospital Foundation’s all-you-can-eat Cajun Boil is set for Saturday, Sept. 15, with a social hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. at Phillips County Event Center. Tickets may be purchased from MMHF board members or by calling executive director Nancy Colglazier at 970-580-2238.
